Your car looks just great, even with light mud! Check out the Falcon paint. Your car looks more ready for bad weather conditions than his, what with No Wipers! My memory of XL vac. wipers were just like bad FB wipers. How was Motorex?

G'Day all...
I know it's NSW All Holden Day..But I decided to stay at home (seeing how it's a 4 hour drive one way just to get there!!)& do some stuff to the Sputzwagon..
I finally got rid of my rear over-riders (never liked 'em, only had to have 'em for my rego light), and stuck on my FC rego plate surround...I love these things!!
But adding this & removed the over-riders makes the arse end look slightly wider than before (& let's face it..our cars can use more width ).
Anyhoo here's it in it's new guise....
(note: I have cheated a bit by photoshopping the two grommets for the rego plate light wires away (which I might add I'll do in the next few weeks) :oops
P.S. I now have a set of fair condition over-riders with working rego lights if anyone wants 'em.

Makes you wonder why Holden didn't build them like that
Scotty, how much for the over riders with the number plate light stuff?

I've got another spare if you need it, Dave. If that 54 coupe was made of wood and floated you would have finished it by now!bootlegger wrote:Nice scotty. Ive got tge same rear licence plate chrome for that 54 coupe that im never going to do.

Re: Sputzwagon 2 Scotty's EK standard sedan
G'day all....
Just picked up off our very own "Rustydungers" my very own EJ diff housing & rear brakes.
After getting it home & cleaning off the 50 years of built up grease 'n' oil I have to say this thing seems in exccelent condition!
So it wont be too long until I stick it under the Sedan..OH..I cant wait to have only one brake adjuster per side!! OH HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!
All I have to do now is clean it up some more & etch prime the housing then paint it a nice glossy black (during the meanwhile I'll get a new set of rear bearings & seals stick on the axles ).
Scotty.
P.S. thank's again Rusty!

Re: Sputzwagon 2 Scotty's EK standard sedan
Very timely pic for me Scotty. I am upgrading my front drums to EJ and thought I was missing some 'bits'. I see your pic is for the rear brakes but it has helped confirm what I am missing.
PS The Sputzwagon or Sputzsedan is looking mighty fine!
