A set of moons looks good on anything of this era with decent lowering, that one looks good for a mild custom. Micks car is a semi custom and it fits the bill perfectly.
Well done mick

I honestly thought it would never get done once the latest of the customizing fad's died down. Luckily I was wrong and for that I apologise.

You'll get years of driving pleasure in your time machine, unlike no other.

its a bitch to start if it hasnt run for a couple of days,so i drive it twice a week at minimum smile
great old car ,im starting to enjoy driving it ,knowing how to drive it
2nd gears a bitch when hot,and sometimes it idles higher than a cry from a baby

I just changed out the alternator on my wifes WL Caprice - took about 3 hours and the Holden dealer wanted bloody near $1000 for a new alternator      Got a non genuine one at mates rates for $300 :( :( :( :( :(

I love old cars too 8) new ones suck ........
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

i got the 14inch tasmans ,yes    100 bucks with caps for a pair
they were the fully painted ones on gumtree
i spent a while with a gympie and a block of wood to get a buckle out
then a big shifter ,half a cup of paint stripper
they look ok
once the paint was off ,i could see that someone in the past had tried to clean up the alloy centers with a wire wheel
so i started with 320 sanded those spokes for a while
got the deep marks out ,600/1200/1500
then polished till i could see me,
cleaned them up,the rims wih the pink soaked steel wool
masked them up and painted the sides and centers of the spokes astec gold as per original?
or this is my thinking
took my new tasmans to the wheel shop
and swapped the tyres over
came home bolted them up with original nuts on the mk 1s they have steel cone inserts(original nuts)
dropped the old girl on the dirt .....
offsets wrong lol my fingers are sore from the sanding and polishing
i cant run them ,bloody cars ,
they look good on the ej
