The loooonnng term EK 2 door project

Post by Blacky »

Hi kiddies, some of you longer term forum members might remember that I started building an EK 2 door about a thousand years ago - well we have killed all the tarantulas and funnel webs , dusted it off and fired up the grinders again ImageImage - and here's a picture Image this is from about 11 years ago when the skins were fitted

And some recent work , headlight eyebrows extended

Sides and fins modified

Stay tuned for more goodness ! Still have a couple of things to do yet .....

Hey Blacky,
It's amazing what you find when you clean out your shed!! Interested to see how this project unfolds. Yet another iteration of the FB / EK that the General should have offered back in the day. What donk will push this down the road?

Regards
Stephen

Looks like a proper job on the doors and pillar relocation. Good work.

It is currently set up for a V6 , I also am currently building a supercharged fuel injected 202 for the red rattler which I thought I might throw in the hole , but after seeing how nice Nomads and EK Jays Holden V8 installs look I am thinking of going with a 308 now - with the uncertainty of engine swaps in WA at the moment it might be my last chance to build a V8 powered one Image

Either way it will be Holden bits from front to back. Image

Will be getting new ones made along the lines of the originals.

Looking good Blacky. I notice another not so subtle mod with the Buick-sequel dip behind the door. Can't wait to see what else you come up with.
