Fitted the new plates today , have managed to iron out most of the bugs, need to replace steering box and that will be about it for the mechanical side of things , still want to paint the roof and replace the left rear quarter.

Giving the old tart a bit of a tidy up for the nationals , went to fit me flash Rockets that i did up at Christmas and the bloody wheel studs are too short  so off to Armadale Auto Parts to pick up a set of longer ones plus a set of rear shocks seeing as I replaced the rear springs that were sitting about 1/2" off the bump stops

Fitted them up 8) 8) 8)
Image

and the bastards rub that bad the car is undrivable

looks good though , even with the arse end sitting about 3 inches higher than it was ,,,,,

Image

Decided it was time to do something about the roof , started sanding off the half sanded mess that the roof has been since i bought the car

Image

Took some doing but its ready to hit with 180 and prime and paint tomorrow

Image

Found out why neither back window would go down , the runner has fallen off the passengers side one and the weld that holds the slide to the runner had broken off on the drivers side. Welded the drivers one up in situ and will get some sikaflex for the passengers one tomorrow. Also fixed the inside handle on the drivers side rear door so now the hitchikers can escape !!

The headliner has split and is hanging down pretty badly so we did a cheap and cheerful repair/bodge job on it . Went to spotlight and bought some white furry stuff and glued it over whats left of the original headliner. Rough but at least its legal now and fits in with the rest of the bodgy shit

What we started with
Image

a few safety pins and a bit of glue.......
Image

and voila !!!!

How about fitting some super skinny tyres low rider style?

Been wondering about those rims. There is a set for sale needing a refurb but I don't know much about them.
