"(AUST)Mod's Turbo FB"

Post by (AUST)Mod »

Hi all,
My name is Andrew and I am 16. My sister and I both love early holdens and my Father took this love as an opportunity to purchase us our favourite cars. Below you will find a pic of my first car, a 1960 FB special sedan. It runs a mild 186 with pacemaker extractors, cooled by a thermo fan. Power is transfered through a powerglide. This car will soon be getting a transplant to either a v6 commodore, and a hr front end. my sister drives a lowered ek, with a 161, trimatic and sports exhaust. she thinks it sounds nice haha. anyway, please leave feedback, and any info you have on engine transplants. thanks.

Welcome aboard Andrew and sister. You've got a great taste in cars and sweet FB :D Your'e certainly lucky to have a Dad like that! Have a look through some of the old posts on the forum for some info on transplants etc. I'm sure members can help too. Any pics on the lowered EK?

Regards
Stewart

Tell your sister if thats her pink EK that she has to put white walls on it ! ,They just set it off perfectly , They are called porta walls from johns rod n custom (on the net) and I think they are around $150 . They fit between the tyre and rim so they dont wear out like tyres and they can be taken off if you choose not to have them for a change .
Low smooth and custom is the good look of the oldens

Very Nice Cars,
Hope they get the respect they deserve.
Sorry to sound like a sour puss but I have seen too many youngins flog the old cars that end up at the wreckers.
