Power is a little lower than I had hoped, but she goes well.

All in all, I am happy, and the tuner said he was very happy with the car.

Hopefully I can install the tramp rods I purchased today before Sunday so that I can launch hard with a big stall :)

Well I managed a best of 15.3 which was a little disappointing. The car launched well, but really seemed to lack top end power.

I bumped into Paul Bozanich at the track and he suggested more boost. How could I say no to that suggestion!

Hi Andrew, looking at the dyno sheet peaking at 4700rpm i think something is holding it back mate. i would be looking for any restrictions maybe exhaust, fuel delivery, valve spring pressure ect. that thing should make power to at least 5500-5800rpm. a i would think at least 220-250hp should be easily obtainable with no more than 12lb boost. give me a call if you want and i will see if i can find out whats going on there. cheers paul.

Definitely will give you a call soon Paul. I spoke to Darryl at Classic Olden, and he said that Tony's brother's hepatitis B HB torrie had a similar problem, but at 5500rpm.

It turned out to be a dud torque converter, which was slipping up high. I wonder if mine is the same?

I am planning on heading back to the strip this Wednesday night with fellow forum member Brodie.

He will be punting his awesome EK against my good from afar far from good FB.

Unfortunately, last week I snapped my front uni and bent the transmission yoke after launching hard, so I need to fix it before I head down to the strip.

The BW diff pinion bolts are proving extremely difficult to remove (tight) so I may need to get it up on a hoist before Wednesday night if I am going to make it in time to race.

I will post results once I have them
