That firewall cut is a handy piece of kit. Looks to be saving the old body from a few contortions. I used a cable also when I put the 5 speed in the FB I sold to Mad Pete. Can’t remember exactly how I did the pedal end but similar. I’m sure Pete’s given it a good workout. Any more pics of the Tasman...

I think the only two RAAF vehicles here are the CL Valiant wagon with the ‘Follow Me’ sign and the Kombi aircrew van at the left. The others are private vehicles.

As an ex RAAF Motor Transport Fitter from the late 70’s through to ‘98, I can add that all vehicles and equipment that was used on the airfield were painted GSE ( Ground Support Equipment ) Yellow, which was a golden yellow. My Panelvan weighed in at 1380 kg (740 kg front axle, 640 kg rear ) for rego.
307 Chev, th350, VN rear axle, 60 lt mustang tank, lots of dynamat everywhere.

I believe that Rare Parts / Rare Spares have the rods and also the mechanism for the handle. No handles but.
I discovered this AFTER refurbishing mine for the van.
