Re: Losing power uphill
I pulled the distributor out and checked the timing again - i must have had it out by one tooth, although i wouldn't have thought it would run that way? Strange things they are. Anyway now it runs okay, but back to square one where it wants to stall on takeoff - other than that it's okay. Idle is hi...

Losing power uphill
The car is at it again, drives fine on level ground but loses power uphill significantly. Revs slow down and it just slows to a crawl. Timing has been checked, new points and condenser, spark plugs checked, cleaned and gapped, dissy cap and rotor button checked, vac advance is working. Running out o...

Re: The Project Goes Injected.
Mate that really sucks. The actions of one lowly parasite 10 years ago has potentially blown $2000 for you. I hope they don't want the block back for your sake - I can't see why they would go to the trouble of getting it back really - it'd be worth stuff all to them. One thing is for sure, your setb...

Re: One for Scotty
Custom I like it alot.
The rear end looks super cool too. Come on Pete, when's this one starting?
Still undecided whether we will go with the original yellow or as per the drawing above, I don't know how long we'll keep it so I've got to consider resale value - pink could be hard to sell?

Nah, just too tight to have this one engineered
It's for my girlfriend, she doesn't need a red motor. I'll put the spare grey in with a trimatic

EK front end in EJ
I know it's slightly off topic of FB-EK's but it's only a year off  Does anyone know if an FB/EK front end will fit an EJ? I can't imagine there would be many differences, but i could be wrong - i'm pretty sure the EJ brakes have wider drums? I've got an EJ with a silly red motor and HR front a...

Re: hydramatic diff ratio
Very good point Mick, anyway i'm leaving tomorrow with a 3.89 in tow so i'll just see how it goes - it's normally fine at 60mph (speedo reading) on the freeway anyway.
I just get paranoid that i''m revving it too much
