Re: Dual circuit master cylinder

Re: Dual circuit master cylinder

I’ll add that at the moment I have washers behind the bracket to pack it out for now. I think I’ll either flatten the firewall or botch the bracket to clear. Still undecided on that one.

Re: Leo's Rebuild.....

So being we are in lockdown again…. I’ve been tinkering on other things till I can organise more mig I’ve been looking at the dual curcuit brake setup. Here are a few things I’ve worked out this afternoon. Now I took the bonnet off for access then had to improvise to move the hinge up and down so ig...

Re: Dual circuit master cylinder

MPH timely post. Here are a few things I’ve worked out this afternoon. Now I took the bonnet off for access then had to improvise to move the hinge up and down so ignore my makeshift leverage device. If you align the original upper firewall master cylinder bolt hole with the same bolt hole in the br...

Re: Dual circuit master cylinder

Yeah I went down the rabbit hole today. Bonnet hinge clearance is the issue. Although I think with some pruning it may clear the spring. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210718/f1e1965df5ba3a49f0ee5665454ac98f.jpg But I did also find this on eBay which got me thinking a) is it any good- will need...

Re: Dual circuit master cylinder

A mate a work is trying to find the details of a local (to me) guy who he got his off. Not a cheap knock off. So I’ll keep you...

Re: Dual circuit master cylinder

Couple guys I know used XD XE XF dual circuit boosters. No clearance issues to bonnet hinges and work well. FB ute fixer upper, EK van on rotisserie So is that a direct mount on the firewall or an adaptor or just redrilled firewall? Interested to see some pics of the setup if you can get some. Sent...

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute

Not quite a bolt in job! Gonna need a trans tunnel to suit but worth the effort. Plus if you hunt around you may even find an auto column and the whole swap will look factory. I did that to mine early on in the build, CRS tunnel, auto column and I’m pretty sure it’s an LC-LJ tail shaft then I modifi...

Nothing like a road trip to sort out a few bugs/create more work!!! Really enjoyed following along Clay. Given me some much needed motivation, now all I need is some free time…..

Re: Wilma FB project

I’ll have to get one of those kits. Need to replace all of mine.

With the winders have you tried scraping some of the chrome off the inside to see if they fit better?
