Have removed the column etc but forgot to put into neutral...rookie mistake :oops: I'm assuming I can still push the clutch in and manipulate the linkages off the gearbox... Any helpful tips on which way to push / pull the top and bottom linkages to ...

I've had the opposite problem with mine. Mine moves so freely it won't stay open and the weight of the flap puts it into the closed position.

Without seeing the interior finished...green trim, green doors...I'm thinking go the white steering wheel..but then a green steering wheel would be something different...

go both...they are very easy to swap around when you feel like it.
