I put the isolator on my van on the bulkhead behind drivers seat, next to seat belt reel. Easy access when parking and inconspicuous. Positive cable runs straight from battery (in back, under floor) to switch then exits underneath to starter.

I’ve just done mine. Covered the glass and tint with a sheet of steel and added a couple of tacks with the mig. Keep a wet rag handy to cool. Mine only had two small spot welds from factory. It will never come off again.

You might want to put a couple more bolts in that flywheel ( or liquid nails).
