Cortina Mk1 coupe
Nice stance on this 440 Cortina spotted doing commuter duty at Cavan today. Haven't seen one for a while.

Re: 1/4 vent window help
It is possible but easier to get a replacement, give it a kitchen table overhaul and install. Either way it is out with both main then quarter window. You should be able to get one from someone on here. Where you situated.

Re: 1/4 vent window help
Don't lose the little spring that preloads the locking mechanism. They have a tendency to surprise me when the handle comes off. Often it's the frame mounted tube that snaps off which requires significantly more work. Body grease as alibricant when you reinstall or vasso if that is all you can get y...

Re: EK JAY'S FB WAGON PROJECT (some color)
Genius. I've always had drama with tubular headers and through the guards well don't go there. A fair bit of work no doubt to find the right fit but not more than fabricating a pair and a lot cheaper than buying a set that can often require rework. The factory look is just further advanced now. You ...

Re: WA fb special
WW Stromberg was a good setup on 161 in the Toranas as well as 186S in HR - HG. Better economy than the x2 I believe. Factory manifolds aren't too hard to come by. I would think they would be more readily available than the factory X2 manifold although there are plenty of after market ones around. I...

Re: WA fb special
That isn't a very long trip to base your calculations on. Fresh rebuild you say. Could the motor be tight? Obviously rebuild the carb and check the jets. Get it dyno tuned maybe. 3.36 diff as discussed previously.

Re: D-MAN's FB sedan
Engage two lugs under the hubcap lip. Whack over the third with your palm. Check to see if they rotate (cap out of round) and if so twist until cap is tight.with stock wheels coming off shouldn't be a problem unless you belt over speed humps or hit a pothole, spoon drain etc. Those hubs are worth a ...

Re: harvs ek 327 wagon
You have to admit it's hilarious from anyone else's perspective. I don't usually have a problem smearing the entire engine bay, the shed floor and myself with new and used oil whenever I do a change. The old screwdriver and hammer was the first thing that came to mind when I started reading this. Th...
