Re: TT Sedan
I have the steering arms and a tapered reamer so all good there but any help on the mount is appreciated.
Re: TT Sedan
Grabbed a TE Cortina rack from Dudley's paddock on Saturday morning.
Scrubbed up fairly nicely Just waiting on the drop stub axels from Stub Tech to arrive and then I can work on the mounts and steering arms.
Small steps forward.
Cheers,
Roger

Re: TT Sedan
Neil wait a couple of minutes and it will pass. Purchased the Twin turbo kit back in 2010 when we were dollar for dollar with the US for the sedan project but Ammo's ute got in the way. During the visit from the engineer, we agreed that there is not enough room in the engine bay so I may need ...
Re: TT Sedan
Met with Scot the engineer, on Wednesday afternoon to discuss the sedan build. All the stuff that I need to do is fairly straight forward and he will prepare the paper work to lodge with Transport SA. He quizzed me on the wheel size and offset and the what steering I would be using. Suggest front mo...

Re: Ol' Rusty - FB/EK Sedan
I'm enjoying watching your repairs for your creativity to make patch panels and channels that you can not buy.
It also makes me think about what I need to do and to slow down to do it right.
More thought equals less weld and grinding.

Roger

Thanks for posting Clay.

Re: TT Sedan
This is the area that I'm changing. The inner guard on the outside if that makes any sense.
This should allow me to run the 17" rims with 235 tyre up into the guard.
Cheers,
Roger
I have already done the inner side but will need tidy it up in case someone looks under the car. This should allow me to run the 17" rims with 235 tyre up into the guard.

Re: TT Sedan
I dropped the sedan off the frame today as I was over trying to mig weld up in the rear guards. I need a little more space to give the tyres a bees tit more clearance. I must have banged my head 5 or 6 times trying to see where I was welding. off the frame.JPG Now on it side so much easier side on 1...

Re: Ammo's Ute
Spend some coin at Rare Spares yesterday
New windscreen rubber and rear window rubbers. Also purchased the bonnet insert
As only the best for Ammo, I got a heap of Dynamat so it will as quiet as her Lexus.
Cheers,
Roger

Picked up the Y frame this morning from the blaster blasted.JPG Set it up and a quick spray of expoy epoxy.JPG Also gave the front doors a rub to remove the surface rust and hit it them with expoy front doors epoxy.JPG . Marked out the tunnel and cut out the old modded one. tunnel cut.JPG Dropped th...
Re: TT Sedan
I played with which wheels to use, 17" or 15". I do have a set of 16" but not so keen on the design now. I think ride height is spot on and 17" fills the opening perfectly. The 235 tyre is a snug fit. ride height.JPG I will need to do a little on the inner out side guard as I hav...
Re: TT Sedan
Hole is for fuel flap ex Telstar or Mazda 323, can't remember. After much sanding this morning I bit the bullet, purchased 1K expoy and now I have a yellow car. OMG, my back is killing me for the sanding and twisting and holding the bloody spray gun. expoy.JPG I used the mask with filters and my fir...

TT Sedan
New thread for the sedan that I'm back building. It has been 10 years since I parked this up to build Ammo's ute. I had it blasted and undered coated way back then I stored it under the back veranda. Lots of surface rust to remove heading to the shed.JPG ready to go.JPG Pulled the front clip off to ...

Re: Ammo's Ute
Took Clay's advise and removed the valve from the master cylinder on the Crusty wagon. Bled the front breaks again but the pedal leaks down when you keep pushing on it, so something not right. :problem: I had to keep filling around half the master cylinder each wheel. Asked myself " where the h...
