Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute

Thanks fellas. I got spot on advice from mate Bruiser on the GMH Torana site about the SUs. Brett you echoed my understanding of every torque curve and discussion I’ve had. Glen I thought of doing that. Still got your light. I could use a VK one and set more initial, though it seems pretty happy at ...

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute

Snap, not swap. Dyno day. Basically just confirmed that it is all pretty spot on. A touch rich at idle and WOT but not really enough to worry about. AFR spot on 12.5 - 13. Base timing left at 6 deg where it is pretty happy, and no pinging up the rev range. Graph tells the story: https://uploads.tapa...

Re: Ol' Rusty - FB/EK Sedan

Love your lateral thinking Scotty. Yes, the pin length is the only difference. Maybe a front knob could be used from a manky front handle, in a good rear handle?

Hi, As this forum makes sharing images incredibly difficult (and NO, I am not installing the Tapatalk app to help do that), I'll try to post some information here... uploading some photographs to DropBox then sharing the DropBox link. [admins - are you reading this? Look how much mucking around is ...

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute

Re: FB Standard Wagon

Yes, that is my understanding. With higher compression you generally run a cooler plug setting. If the plugs are getting too hot they can pre-ignite the intake charge, detonation, pinging, not good. So a higher number plug is more efficient at dissipating its heat to the head. If it is too cool it wi...

Re: Neils Frankenstein Ute

From the photo it looks like they might be able to be mounted a bit further back, although not enough to contact the spring possibly. The guy I got them from said ha made them for his EH. I believe the springs are the same length, but maybe not.
