" Hey Charger! 8) "

'Easy on the eye, easy on the wallet', as the ads went.

Harv,

You could also try Hamilton Chrome (quite close to Newcastle CBD).

Re: Project 2.

During the development of the GTS 327s, rumour has it that driveshaft failures were frequent. I think it was Tony Roberts who was quoted as saying, "Quite exciting. Bits flying everywhere."

Re: FB Standard Wagon

Drew,

I admire your courage in opening up, on a forum no less.

Umm, who did your seats? The colour and texture of the vinyl is an exact match for my FCs' (note plural possessive) interiors.
(I'd buy the wagon tomorrow if it came up for sale. Just f.y.i.)

Re: Dr Blacky attempts to perform an addagruntome

I recently installed a Merc rear seal in a fellow club member's FJ motor. Compared with the "gasket kit" replacement, it was easy-peasy. Much, much easier to cut. But I found I had to use the crankshaft to set the seal. My fault though. I cut the seal off nearly flush when using a seal set...

. . . I would almost be inclined to check exhaust valves 1,3,5,6 for poor sealing - on the valve seat . . .

On "8" you'll be struggling to reach 4000.

Nope, set the switch to "4" instead.

Sell the alternator for a small fortune to the HKTG crowd as a genuine Monaro part . . .

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute

Clay,

I think you'd want the specified 1/8" pedal free travel when adjusting the master cylinder pushrod. Any less, and the compensating port won't be uncovered . . .

Re: Bonnet bird measurements

The tinfoil hat is sitting on a shelf in my lab, right next to the replica flux capacitor. Speaking of which, the self-capacitance of a 1-cm radius sphere is about a picofarad. Now, let me count the leading zeroes. Yep. Eleven. OK, then. It's a quirk of the centimetre-gram-second system of units tha...

Neil, When you wrote, " . . . don’t know what the hell I'm doing, the passenger side was easy I think compared to this due to both the inner and outer being stuffed. Fingers crossed," you gave voice to what all of us who've done a lower A-pillar/cowl/inner and outer sill repair think. But ...

Re: Ammo's Ute

I think an FE/FC rear bumper will bolt up to an EK ute, given the similarity in body shape. Whether the bumper brackets will clear the ute bodywork is another matter.
