Re: Nitro FB Lucerne and Alpine Blue revamp

Mmmm, EK plenum cover, the second ugliest part of the car, looks like the unsuccessful waterfall grill in the AU Falcon, yuck! C'mon Tim, you know the FB is the nice one, you've just got more EKs.

Re: 31st FB-EK Holden Nationals - Toowoomba June 5-7 2020

With speculation as to the Nationals going ahead beginning, this is where we are at at this point in time with regard to the COVID-19 restrictions. We will be informed by the venue for the Show & Shine if we can proceed possibly Monday. We are waiting until we have advice from the other venues a...

Re: What is the

G'day Rosco, Robin is fine, the car was hit from behind and pushed into another. This happened a while back, probably October, the insurance wrote it off and Robin has retained the "wreck". We may or may not see the car again, but we'll certainly see Robin.

Re: Windscreen fitter Qld?

I use Tim Armstrong for anything a bit tricky, he has access to FB-EK windscreens without the top tinted band as well as tinted. He's mobile and reliable he used to live in Ipswich but moved to somewhere around Park Ridge. I have two phone numbers 0459461976 and 0430818659.

Re: Front Blinker Sockets

When I had my front loom made by Vintage, I sent him my original front sockets as they weren't available after market. They then incorporated them into the front loom. They need to know if you are putting indicators and parkers in the front or just indicators, there can be confusion as the FE & ...

Re: Front fender rubber gasket

The gasket that runs down in front of the door was always part of the door rubber, if you are not replacing the rubbers with originals, it is best just to make your own as you suggested. I think Better Auto Rubber's door rubber has this gasket on them (check before buying), Rare's don't. The other r...

Nice looking FE, what a shame they used the FC bonnet bird, just clutters the front up a bit.

Re: Heavy-duty bonnet springs

Harv,
Don't know if this is the seller, slingshot180 on eBay, he sells a lot of stainless stuff, i.e. brake cylinder pistons etc, he did have heavy duty bonnet springs listed last year. I think he's in Sydney.

Re: Harv's (Grace's) EK ute

Joe, the Rare's outer rubber for utes isn't all that friendly, Better Auto Rubber's fit pretty well and have the square moulded infill at the top front corner and are shaped to go around the door striker plate, the join is behind the hinges from memory. You have to order left and right as they are d...

Re: Queensland Mob On Their Way

The Queensland Mob arrived in Mandurah yesterday, unscathed from the trip across the country, no major troubles unless you call losing second gear for a couple of hundred k major. Had a good night last night at the Meet & Greet and the WA Club is really turning it on, sign in brekky and a cruise...
