It almost goes without saying that the first thing is to ensure a decent earth to the sender.

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute

Thanks Harv. 40 and 44 are identical in the control valve construction.

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute

Brakes sorted this arvo and test ran the new dissy. Now pinging off idle, but not higher up. I will back initial off to +8 and re-test. I ended up swaying out some bits from the VH44 I recently took off. Power Brskes seem to have given me to number 25 5/16" cups, instead of a 25 and a 25A.........

Not really. I just swapped mine out for another one I had when I had issues. New reproduction are available from Rare Spares I believe.

If bones were on here he would take it on though.

Re: Project 2.

I see. I take it you mean 12.5/1 and 13/1 air/fuel, or Lambda, which is spot on.

Re: Project 2.

The CD150s are pretty thirsty I take it. Webers would be more so. I’m interested to see how the 350 goes.

Re: Family Affair Ek Ute

I made left from right and ran a nasco grey head mounted tap pn my 186 head, to poor man heater, via bike cable. Worked well and not hot when tap turned off. Since went 1/2” copper to a ball valve under the dash, in easy reach.

Very clever indeed. Those jamb sheaths are trick aren’t they? I’ve seen them in a kit, but then Malcolm whatsit made his own.

Re: Gearbox connecting rod. Bush needed?

Supacheap should have rem or easy to make. In a pinch just loosten the nut and tap with a hammer while pulling on the wheel. May sound rough but not as rough as your first attempt.

That is the old “poor man’s heater”. I’ve got one in my uterus. They work just fine as long as you are travelling along and getting some air flow. It even has the ports for demister hose. Are there demister ducts fitted? These are a bit hard to come by. FB ute fixer upper, EK van on rotisserie Ute,...
