I will try to make it as long as you don't laugh at my AU Falcon. Are we talkin' the Cruisin 50's Diner?
My project is not close to being finished but would love to talk all things EK or FB if you must

Re: My ever-after Ute
Paint With Tina on stands and waiting for parts – Namely; Rear brake shoe springs and shockie bushings- I decided it was time to revisit my spray painting skills. Yes I do have some skills, time will tell how many. I started a paint and panel apprenticeship in NZ at the tender age of 17, this would ...

Re: My ever-after Ute
Well it has been a while since I updated this tale of whoa. I thought I had posted late last year but maybe I didn’t Needless to say Tina is digging her heels in and making life difficult but I am not helping with many self-inflicted wounds. Biggest news being I have officially retired and now don’t...

Re: Our pics from Tassie Nats 2017
Great stuff Craig you sure got around this little state. I was going to recommend the Burt Munroe Cafe to those visiting for the Nationals, but never got around to it. I live just down the road at Rowella- next to the Batman Bridge- and knew he had an FB Holden so would love talking about to anyone ...

Re: My ever-after Ute
Thanks for the offer guys Tina is tucked up in the shed behind a wall of horse hay for the winter. Got a great price on a paddock of hay and accepted before releasing it was a "Take the lot or not at all" deal, and it was three paddocks not one. So after some trading with neighbors I ended...

Re: My ever-after Ute
Jeez Nearly a year since the above post - I haven't given up on Tina but have other projects on the go right now. Mostly a 12 acre property that is falling apart. However I have been boxing on but "Boys Toys" or the special wife oblivious account has been tapped dry by sending out Starter ...

Re: My ever-after Ute
Just a note to keep this log going. Haven't stopped working on Tina just really slow now as it is bloody cold in Tassie this time of the year without a working fire in the shed. Have been done little bits like reconditioning the carby, all the hydraulics have new kits or have brand new cylinders Wha...

Re: My ever-after Ute
Time for an update.- Baby steps again. Got some quality time with Tina this weekend and decided to finish the outrigger and the stabliser if it killed me. First job was to bolt the outrigger to the frame. Nice new rubber thingy. (Insulator according to the parts catalog) The bracket and insulator di...

Re: My ever-after Ute
Like Craig says it's all down to the two front outrigger bracket access holes in front of the radiator filling up with debri, getting wet and making a nice poultice inside the dumb irons and subframe legs. If the bolts have seized it's a sure sign there's rust in there. Have a tap in the usual spot...

Re: My ever-after Ute
Hopefully you find the holes you're looking for and not rust holes as well. Tried driving my sedan back from the paint shop once without the front stabiliser bar. Very scary indeed! Thanks Errol62 I am thinking that there is some rust issue and definitely a bolt to get out http://www.fbekholden.com...
