Re: EK Electric wiper mounting seal
Haha, I was kinda worried when he said he had one, but it was $30. I've been after one for a while and compared to how much the other wiper parts have cost me I didn't flinch too much.

Re: EK Electric wiper mounting seal
G'day Clay, thanks for the reply.
After a bit more digging I managed to find one from an Ebay seller (earlybitz1).
Surprised that Rare Spares don't have one in their catalogue.
Cheers

EK Electric wiper mounting seal
Hi all,
I'm putting an EK (Delco) electric wiper into my FB, but unfortunately it's missing the rubber mounting seal. Does anybody have a source for a replacement, or a hack to make their own? I can get 6mm rubber from Clark Rubber but thought I'd ask before going down that route.
Cheers

Re: Car cover for FB
Thanks Harv, they look pretty good. It was the side dimension/height I was concerned about. Do they fully cover the FB/EK's sides?

Has anyone found an off the shelf cover that fits well? I need to store my car out of the garage for a couple of weeks and looking for a good waterproof recommendation.

NGV Shifting Gear Exhibition
For anyone interested in the history of Australian automotive design, there's a great show on at the NGV Federation Square at the moment. I went yesterday and the cars on display are mind blowing. Apart from some early film footage of them rolling off the production line, there's not a lot of FB/EK ...

Re: camper/ reclining bench seats
I had a lay-back bench sitting in the shed for ages that I planned to re-upholster and install. The only problem with it, was that it didn't have a forward locking mechanism and if you had any kind of sudden stop or accident, it would collapse forwards, so I never installed it and sold it on. Not su...

Re: Reef Green/Honey Beige FB
Thanks for the kind words everyone. 8) Hey love your ride. Your FB from Perth, lol I bought mine to Perth from Brisbane. I would like to offer mine for photo shoots, films, how did you go about doing that, was it just word of mouth, or does she have her own portfolio? I work in and around the advert...

I've had this car for almost 25 years. I'd always wanted an early Holden after growing up around them on the farm (EH/HG/HZ utes). This one's a 2 owner WA car and came with a heap of spares. Originally sold by Youngs Holden in Perth. (Bob Young married Miss Australia, Tania Verstack in 1963). I used...

Re: Sumitomo vs Maxxis
I've used both, it's six of one and half a dozen of the other. Both ran fine but I couldn't get over having a jap name anywhere near my cars so I use Maxxis. Can I suggest you put a EH diff centre (3.55) in, it will run better on the highway. There's an App you can download with a windscreen heads ...
