Club cruise to Mannum

The SA club had a cruise up to Mannum today. Unfortunately my crushy wagon had a slight problem that require me to pull out. The front LH hard brake line broke off as I existing the freeway, banged it back through the gears and rolled in the Bunnings carpark. After search all the auto stores for a d...

Re: Ammo's Ute

I got the fan off of a VC commodore starfire motor. 2 extra blades should help. I'm ding all the other stuff instead of tackling the wiring. I purchased a 12 circuit kit from BlueWiire. the closes I have got to it is unpacked it on the bench. With the weather forecast in the next couple of days, not...

Re: Ammo's Ute

I got the engine and trans ins without too many issues but the my exhaust was one. Headers and inlet manifold fitted no trouble but I had to rely on my memory as to which way the muffle went on ( off set one side at one end ) and which way the middle pipe went. I had it off and one more times than I...

Re: TT Sedan

A minor chop of 40 mm, I could get away with standard front and rear. Side window glass no issue as flat but the rear triangular glass would be custom. I have custom cut glass in Ammo's ute as I took out the vents but that took a couple of goes to get it right. The chop would involve a lot of panel ...

Re: Ammo's Ute

Colour is OK but we did have lighter silvery blue in mind. Paint on panel looks different to paint in the can. The hard lid will be padded black vinyl. Currently painting the engine bay and should have the drive train in tomorrow. Daz, the house in my neighbours place but mine is similar without the...

Re: TT Sedan

I mocked up the front windscreen but not liking what I see.
A large gap at the top would need to be filled so it is on the backburner for now.
Pushed the sedan out of the shed and wrapped it up as Ammo's ute is back.

The colour is a little bit darker than what I saw in the can but happy with it.
Now to start putting it back together with the drivetrain first up.

Re: TT Sedan

Thanks Taz for the photo's as very bit of info helps when do this for the first time. You are correct Greg, the engineer has requested I use 3mm plate when I when onto the chassis rails. I will likely weld the plates on the front upper brackets on the bench then weld the 3mm plates to the rails. Che...

Re: TT Sedan

Happy to do the templates of the Tri 4 link brackets and the bar sizes. The McDonald Bros 4 link tri kit cost $1,100 which includes the coil-over lower brackets. I will need to sort out an upper cross tube and brackets which should be fairly simple. Engineer has requested photo's of this before I fi...

Re: TT Sedan

I have started on the 4 link and need an extra arm and hand to hold the brackets in place :? Set the sedan up on my blocks at full " low " position, got one bracket under the diff using a small scissor jack and then use a block of wood to prop up the front lower bar. Push and pulled it int...

Re: Small Block for EK Wagon

Hi Gaz, I have the 4 link for the sedan now and I'm not sure if I need to do a cradle to mount the coilovers.
What did you do ?
Any photo or info a great help.

Roger

Re: Dave's Orange Betty EK Sedan

I offset the 16 gallon mustang tank in Ammo's ute so i could have a straight line on the exhaust.
I did move the filler to the side after this photo.

My understanding is the tank the same width and length but get deeper as the capacity increases.
