Re: Radiator shop recommendations: Sydney?

how is access? the usual way to repair is just silver solder, clean well with heat (not heaps of heat just enough for melting solder) wire brush and acid (can't remember what type of acid we used to use) then heat flux and silver solder special attention to trying to keep as little heat as possible...

Re: Radiator shop recommendations: Sydney?

Ring Arthur at North Shore Radiators . He's done a great job on both radiators I've had him do, one of which required an intricate, non-pressurised overflow system to be rebuilt. On my EK, he used the old tanks but put in a triple row CT core to keep it cooler. Arthur's not cheap but neither is his...

Re: Radiator shop recommendations: Sydney?

I've used Natrad at Granville: 137-139 Parramatta Rd, Granville NSW 2142 They soldered up a NASCO heater core for me gratis. Took a leaking VL radiator in to them and they gave me options instead of an ultimatum. Cheers, Harv thanks Harv, they sound a but more like what I'm used to. Might go for a ...

Re: Leroy the EK Ute

Thought I'd revive this old build thread to bring attention to Leroy, my EK Ute... that I will be putting up for sale soon. Tough decision to be sure, I had lunch with Jodie (widow of Bill, Leroy's owner from 1982 - 2017) and she has given me her blessing. Now, I've seen the prices folks are asking ...

Re: dash piece

Hey Steve, I have the aluminium trim peice from LH A pillar to radio. It has the TINNIEST hole drilled in it near radio end, some very careful work could peen it from the rear side so that you'd hardly notice it at all. Otherwise intact and straight. SMS me if you want photos and to discuss - I'm in...

Re: Clay's Fabulous Big Exciting Kooky adventure

Hey Clay! Loved every minute of this adventure. Recognised most if not all of your stops, and I'm bummed that lockdown not only prevents me heading out on my own adventures now.. but also foiled our plans for a rendezvous. See you another time I guess? Good luck with yer gearbox maladies and engine-...

Re: Clay's Fabulous Big Exciting Kooky adventure

Jeez I log out for five minutes and look where you are Great adventure you're on their Clay, helluva shakedown! Love the way this thing has finished up. You know that I'm a fan of the old NYC cop-car black steelies, white band tyres and no hub caps look (though I trust the novelty of the orange spin...

Re: Leroy the EK Ute

Well, the Taxman has caught up with me somewhat this year, which means Leroy (on Historic rego) is gonna get a bit more use over the coming month or three, while I scrape together the beans to register my daily driver. I’m not a bit mad about that to be honest :) The LH window stopped working as per...
