Re: In tank fuel pump
I fitted the holley sniper retro fit in tank pump to my oem fb sedan tank. Initially It did just touch the bottom of the tank and I had to trim the line between the pump and out let a little which lifted the pump from the bottom of the tank, stopped all the vibration noise and works well and whisper...

Re: Demister vents
I used the vintage air plastic ones, then bent up light weight flat tin bracket to hold them in.
I think there was pics on my build page somewhere mate.

Re: WA fb special
My fuel economy improved drastically, but I also had/tried multiple carbys that gave issues, causing over fueling, flat spots even a full recon carby. So I think a good carby running motor won't get the fuel economy gains I've had but should definitely be an improvement with the way you can set your...

Re: WA fb special
Hi Clint, Hows that sniper injection going ? Greg Hi mate. To be honest, I hardly get to drive the FB these days, but when I have, it's been great. I can take a cruise without using a whole tank of fuel. No flat spots from traffic lights or over fueling fumes as such at idle. All the gauges you nee...

Re: WA fb special
Little few updates over the very high 30s this summer with the ac on since having the fan shroud it's solved the traffic light overheating issues and it still lets in enough airflow on the freeway to keep cool.
Back to the fan belt issues next.
Happy days.

Re: Air con compressor on red 6
V belts in general aren't manufactured to run an idler on there back, with all the hassles i had with mine, eventually finding the pulleys to put a 4 rib set up on, i came to realise that wrap is just as important as tension. Sorry Brett no amp reading but guesstimate around 65A running @ 4,000rpm....

Re: Project 2.
None Blacky. The Retro Air unit does demisters, heater and cool and because of that there is a lot of large diam ducting to get in the dash space. I had planned to run a vent on drivers side but could not route the duct to it in the available space. The Mini Gen 2 unit has two central vents so one ...

Re: Air con compressor on red 6
I was told the HQ bracket is too wide for the fb chassis. This bracket is from madd air in qld who makes the brackets. He also has a ek. I had belt slip though and ended up putting in a extra idle pulley from a hilux but it runs on the back side of the v belt. Not sure if they are ment to bend backw...

Re: Wiper pivot rubbers
This surprises me a fair bit. Those grommets have absolutely nothing to do with sealing out water. They just steady the pivot. The flat gasket under the bezel is the only one keeping water out of cabin. If there is a leak, 100% nothing to do with those grommets[emoji16]. That's probably why mine ha...

They did need modding from what my post said and memory slightly may remember. but haven't experienced any leaks on my feet in the rain yet.

Re: WA fb special
Thanks guy's. After calling 6 sheet metal shops with no luck the 7th said not a problem they did a shroud last week. So I have dropped the radiator and fan off with a heap of measurements and they are making up an ally one for me. As advised it will be bowed as such or shaped toward mid fan avoiding...

Re: WA fb special
G'day all. Since fitting the air con and now with the sniper running the motor cleaner (leaner sounds bad),i think that's to do with less fuel for cooling? it's been getting hot if I'm stationary for a full set of traffic lights? The cars never had a shroud but I think it needs one. I have minimal r...
