Thanks for that.
We just like to keep what info we can to build up a picture of which cars are still around. Many have had new front ends (and therefore chassis numbers) and of course there are tons more with red motors.

Re: Id tags what do all the numbers mean
Awesome; always nice to hear that a car is getting saved
When you're able, could you please post the chassis number (stamped into driver's side inner guard), and also the engine number (near the oil-pressure sender)?

Happy to help
Looks like a good car to start with. What are your plans?
Can you tell us anything about the history of the car and how you came by it?

EK 225 = EK Special sedan,
2925th body built at
S = Sydney.
Trim 543-964 = Grenadier Red and Athens Grey
Paint 585-0246 = Snowcrest White (No sure, but looks like it was a completely white car as there is no second paint code)
PO.478.A = Hydramatic transmission.
Pics!!

Re: Ek Holden
Have to agree. Looks well executed, much better than I'd ever hope to accomplish, but that paint job just doesn't belong on an early Holden.Cal wrote:Nice, though I can't say I'm a fan of the colour scheme.
First thing I'd do is repaint it Apache Red and Snowcrest White

Re: Sunnytim's Cameo Beige 215
It's an absolute gem that car. I love the fact that it's a 215 dressed-up to the nines. I also love the fact that it's had so much use. Good man Tim

Hope the glovebox latch doesn't get in the way.
Looks to me like the fascia on that radio has been spray-painted silver to make it look good in the pictures

Re: Have your say - please
Looks the best in the 1st pic. I respect what you've done with the van, but metallic paint just doesn't do it for me (with very few exceptions).
I'd paint it in an original FB colour. Maybe add a pearl to it.

For sliding vane superchargers that are not case-hardened (for example Judson superchargers) honing is undertaken at all overhauls (Sorry Al - your'e gunna hafta hone yours :mrgreen: ). Already done :thumbsup: Although it was NOS, there was some corrosion inside because a mouse had taken up residen...
