Re: Pa's Ute
Hi Rob,
The leak is quite obvious (pictured). My old man actually tried to weld it a number of years ago. It hasn't held.
Would be interested in your block depending on price of course.
Thank you!

Thanks Greg and Stephen.
Greg - how is your project progressing or is the home still taking priority?
Where were you Dr Harv when I needed you? LOL.

Re: Pa's Ute
Too true Blacky. Thanks for all your help, very much appreciated. Cheers Trev. Clay - appreciate your thoughts and kind words. I have to admit Pa's Ute was never really intended to be restored back to complete original. The motor is painted blue, the tray is a combination of wood and marine carpet, ...

And "AP's Ute/Pa's Ute" is finished AP Parker! Registered during the week and took the old man to the ACT Holden Day today. Huge thanks to Mario for days on the welder. Special thanks to Gavin Lockwood for the interior, Glass 4 Cars, John Res Auto, ACT Brakes, Phillip Radiator Service, Ele...
Re: Pa's Ute
Well I am an extremely happy boy today compared to a couple of weeks ago. Mario (my go to man for anything mechanical) came to assist me with starting Pa's ute. This would be the first time in over 17 years. Unfortunately since the old man reconditioned the engine the valves had seized. I expected t...

Checklist for Finishing Restoration
Hi all,
I seem to recall reading a while back someone put together a checklist of tasks that should be performed prior to:
1/ Starting a reco'ed motor; and
2/ Taking your vehicle in for a final inspection
I've searched but obviously can't find anything.
Cheers

Wheel Cylinders - Cover Assembly & Adjusting Screws
Why is it that no-one sells a complete wheel cylinder kit (inclusive of the cover assemblies and adjusting screws)? Was about to install the front and realised I don't have any. Anybody in Canberra have sets? Have rear but no front sets. Happy to buy. Thanks. Danny

Exhaust advice required
Has anyone put these on their grey? What modifications are required i.e. there doesn't appear to be a place where they bolt onto the inlet manifold (similar to factory)?

Re: Pa's Ute
Not sure Blacky. I reckon it wasn't aligned properly and I put too much strain on the engine mount. I changed tact. I removed the bracket that the engine mount bolts to. Then bolted the gearbox to the other bracket, then bolted the engine mount on and then used the engine crane to align and then re-...
