Re: Who to use for insurance?

Have had nothing but excellent service from Shannons. Been looked after 100%...if anything they surprise me just how well they treat their clients/customers. Don't want to sound like I'm blowing smoke up their ass, but I'll never insure my cars with anyone else. On the other hand, my wife's car is w...

Re: Road Trip Texas Route 66 2009

Sweet photos!
We're heading to the US in September and will be driving some of the old 66. Leaving Vegas and joining 66 @ Kingman, across Nevada, overnight detour to stay @ the Canyon, and then back onto 66 through Flagstaff and on.
Should be a great time.

Re: cruiser spats bubble spats

They're made by Paul Kelly (Smooth Customs). His number is 31330496. I have to call him myself to order mine. Just need to put together enough coin.

Re: Biting the bullet and converting my EK

Hey Theo...I'll send you a msg at some point over the next day or two. May just be interested in that option. Hadn't really considered it, as I thought my only option re. spindles was CRS.
Cheers, Scott

Re: Biting the bullet and converting my EK

The HR front end has lowered springs (I think they were 2" from memory) sized for my EH ute which is what the front end came out of. The springs themselves were pretty new and in good condition so we decided to re-use them when re-building the front end and just see how low it sat once it was i...

Re: Biting the bullet and converting my EK

Meant to say before...the guy who signed off on all the mods was a decent cat. Was helpful, positive and keen to see old cars on the road. Said he had no hesitation knocking back poorly modified cars, but very happy to put his name to jobs well done. Asked a very fair price too. I'd recommend him to...

Re: Biting the bullet and converting my EK

Credit goes mostly to a mate who did the hard yards on the car. He's a skilled hand with a welder and a spanner and the car wouldn't be done without him.

Re: Biting the bullet and converting my EK

Kick ass!! Engineer signed off on all the mods today, Shannons bumped the insurance up to my requested value, QLD Transport changed over all rego details/numbers...ready to hit the road: The list of changes is pretty standard for this mod but what the hell...here's a run down. * rebuilt HR front end...
