If the centre shape is the same as the HR but it has sadle plates the same as the FB/EK then it's an EJ/EH housing
The very round smallish with bulge for crownwheel housing is FB/EK or earlier

If it's out of the weather primer should be ok or maybe brush some killrust paint over it if you are not finishing it (bog etc)

when running a disc brake front the rear brakes should have a smaller wheel cylinder than drum brakes all round or as austmod said proportioning valve otherwise you get rear brake lockup under hard braking

there's also my case of i just like the looks of the EJ/HR housings

what model torana are you're stubs off ? LH/X, UC can cause problems with wheel alignment camber castor settings

you don't even have to clear it just keep it coated in WD40, nice lesson for those that have a habit of leaning on people's cars aswell

that grille is what the EK/FB overrider grilles are trying to copy, they're a very sort after grille in the kustom world lucky you
