Re: Neils Frankenstein Ute
Hi Neil, There are lots of videos on pinion angle but they tend to get confusing. A lot of emphasis goes into getting the final angle in relation to the tailshaft. Ultamately this is a nice wish list but most car bodies and axle configurations dont allow for the ultimate final drive angles. Also wit...

Re: Chev EK
Done a good days work yesterday and into the night, I had to pull most of the interior out to get at all the wiring. IMG_2377.JPG IMG_2376.JPG Decided to put the fuel pump relay under the back seat and run the wiring through the rear rail and to the battery direct. I have also run the main computer ...

Very nice tax free super going on there, obviously has a soft spot for the Mopars, looks like it was a fun day out.

Hi Clay,
You are venturing into the hi tech spares area, you will be suprised how well that throw out bearing works.
As for the motor, dont forget to clean every single oil passage, pipe, cooler or anything that has oil going through it. Its amazing where the shrapnel ends up.

Re: Chev EK
Plod Plod Plod, Got the wiring sorted on the floor bench, the old plug and play is nice but it would be messy in the engine bay so I have to split it and use two different looms that were supplied by Holley. Unfortunately I will need to undo most of my existing loom and start again !! IMG_2339.JPG U...

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Hi Clay, I have one of those slaves but in the tilton brand. The secret is set them up with the correct measurements, once done they don't require anything else and to be honest you're more than likely going to rebuild your cam train again before the slave fails. Keep us posted on your adventure !! ...

Re: LS1EK
Harv, I was surprised as well, our engineer, you know the one made me remove mine from inside the boot. I didnt argue and figured i was never going to win anyway ! With the Camry is it under the floor below the seat or in the cabin space ? After seeing how much fuel can get pumped from 60psi of pres...
Re: LS1EK
Nice work Taz, Most people dont realise that high pressure fuel / return is not allowed in the boot space and does not comply with the Engineering process. I have seen a lot of pumps in the boot area and shudder to think what the outcome would be if a hose come off. Anyway your progress is coming al...

Hi Neil,
No im not a fan of heat wrap, it attracts moisture and rusts your pipes quicker than you can imagine,
There is more than an inch between them, I will measure temps when i get it going,
Absolute worst case a heat shield but i doubt the temp at the tail pipes will be an issue.

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Zinc based oil and paste on the lobes, start and run at 2000 rpm for at least 20 minutes.
Do not idle then check for pushrod rotation when its running.
The idea is to bed the lifter to the lobe.
Try again Clay !!!
