Re: Ammo's Ute
The flared guards are a hangover from the initial build in the 80s, covering massive 14” Eagers. These wheels sit snugly in the guards - I have a pair of stock guards for when I start my rebuild. Ken McLean on the FE/FC forum is is guru on brakes and wheel track, having worked for Hoppers Stoppers....

Re: Ammo's Ute
I considered the salt flats but Ammo not keen. What size tyre are you running on the front of the FC ? 205/50 15 Toyo R888 semi slicks. I’m planning a bigger build and will still stick with 15s, but a taller sidewall. I think the other concession regarding wheel choice/brake fitment is to consider ...

Re: Ammo's Ute
Not sure if this is helpful to you regarding wheel fitment, but I’ll go ahead anyway.
I’m running 15x7 American Racing Salt Flats on my FC with a HR front end. It has a Torana front rack conversion, AU2/Commodore discs and 2” drop spindles.
If I can work out how to add a photo I’ll put it up.

Re: Project 2.
I used a cake tin to make room for a set of triple Webers in my FC. Replaced the cake tin with a piece of LJ Torana floor pan later on. There's a pic on the FC forum (at least, there was; not sure about Photobucket anymore).

Re: The Old Girl
For those in Hobart you would recall a guy just out of Kingston called channel wreckers. This guy had all things Old Holden FX to HZ. Was a good source for bits and pieces. I remember old Ray - similarly, when I was a student I used to make the trip to Kingston with my old man looking for parts for...

Re: Sonic Injection
I’m slowly (been doing it for a couple of years) building up a 202 with a 6 throttle body EFI manifold from Sonic Injection. I’ve also got Sonic’s crank scraper, girdle and crank trigger ready to go in.
I’m waiting on a billet crank, then it should be full steam ahead.

Re: Blue Six induction
Wonder if you have seen Pete Mallaby's injected grey on the FC FE site. Well worth a look. Yes I have - Pete's an absolute magician and a nice bloke too; he's always been happy to answer all my dumb questions regarding setting up EFI. Good luck setting up your carb/s; I say go for triple webers :th...

Re: Blue Six induction
Hey Clay, I know you're asking about carb options for your blue six, but have you thought about EFI? Sonic Injection do some really cool stuff. https://www.sonicinjection.com.au/index.php?page=manifolds-conversions Regards, Josh P.S. I'm [slowly] piecing together a six throttle body sequential EFI 2...

http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff271/Ol_Girl_58/image1.jpg Just an EFI 202; nothing as tough as yours. Going with a 202 still requires an engineers certificate, so I've set the car up for a V8 in the future. I use the car as a track car for the time being. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff2...
Re: LS1EK

Re: LS1EK
Nice work Taz.
Who are you using for your engineer? I'm in Hobart and building an FC Holden. I need to check in with an engineer; someone enthusiastic and into early Holdens would be a good thing.

Josh

Knife Edge Crank Wanted
Hi all, As per the title, I'm after a knife edge crank for the stout 202 that I'm (re)building. Cash buyer, postage not a problem. Please let me know if you've got one to sell/know someone who does/know of a speedshop that does them. Regards, Josh. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff271/Ol_Girl_58...
