When i brought my rubber kit from rares it included a can of rubber reconditioner
havn't tried it yet but thought it was interesting

Put the front windscreen in today using the rares rubber, it was too large for the screen as in the corners the glass didn't fit all the way into the rubber i found after fitting the trim i then pulled the excess rubber from the corner up into the top bend it went in easy and it only took me 8 attem...

They did make the installation look so easy i feel confident to give it a go myself :gasp: the only question I have is Rares supplied two tubes of window sealant, at what point is this applied ? and do you put it into the rubber or onto the metalwork ? before or after the window in installed ? also ...

i got a full set of rubber mats (front rear & boot) from tru-fit, $350 delivered
they dont specifically premote it on the website but if you ring you can order over the phone

do you have a multimeter to test the points with on the bench ?
would the surface of the points have some sort of protective coating that needs to be removed before installing ?

Thanks Guys this has given my some food for thought
the fuel level is droping way lower than the inlet valve, the idle air bleed sounds likely the closest cause of the problem
i'll arm myself with the strommy guide and do some pokin around

Bowl Evaporation Help
i'm finding the fuel in the carby bowl is empty after about 3 or 4 days of sitting (grey motor)
cant find any leaks external and can’t detect any looking down the barrel, the drain & jet plugs are tight.
Any suggestions on where the fuel could be getting out ?

HI Paul these are the three that i have in the photo of the two you can see the pitting on the bottom of one and the top of the other the third one still attached to the bonnet the pitting isn't a severe but seems to be more of it http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy161/control_alt_del/PB190024.jpg...

After an big EK weekend i got the rear end in, chassis bolted back on, HR front end in and engine & gearbox installed now the problem is the rear of the gearbox (tailshaft housing) is pressed up against the body, if i lift the front of the engine about an inch the gearbox clearance looks about r...

i thought about welding it up but the metals a bit thin around the area and its only $40 on ebay so it seems a better option for when i do get it back on the road.
