Re: EK Wagon project - Total rebuild
Got all the clips in place, and re-did the weather seals. Front door cards now back on and the inside is looking normal again. :D :D :D Probably could have tightened up the arm cover a bit more, but I'm happy its all back on. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn221/Finny_203/intp2.jpg http://i305.p...

Re: EK Wagon project - Total rebuild
I also now have the front doors aligned. One of my sons actually came over an helped me get it started. :D :D I actually needed to move the body hinge, so jack up the car, remove the front wheels so I could get at the bolts under the guards. Well they are good enough to close with a nice solid sound...

Re: EK Wagon project - Total rebuild
A few more items off the list. :D Didn't like the look of the rear drums showing through the mags. Seeing I had painted the front disc's red, I did the rears to match. The red even reflects off the chrome on the mags to give a red glow, a nice extra touch. :D http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn221...

Re: 2 door FB wagon build in SA
Awesome.
I'm always amazed at what can be done, and how some people can make some significant body changes look so good.
Would love to see it in real life.

Re: EK Wagon project - Total rebuild
Thanks Harv, I cleaned the plugs and its running well again. I also wound in the idle, but haven't checked the vacuum yet. Due to mostly short runs so far, I have been using the choke a bit. I see how it goes now and with some longer runs. Removed and turn the rear lights up the correct way. I knew ...

Re: Anyone booked for Hervey Bay Yet
Booked a month ago at Coconut Palms on the Bay at Scarness.
Looked at a few others a couple of days before that but they were gone, when I went back to book them.

Re: EK Wagon project - Total rebuild
Now have a nice LED light strip for the rear area. Nice and BRIGHT :D :D Little switch on the rear compartment trim, blends in fairly well. You don't even see the light, unless you really go looking for it. another item off the list.... http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn221/Finny_203/r...

Re: EK Wagon project - Total rebuild
Thanks for the suggestions, notes below. The door tool looks impressive, but too difficult. G'day Finny, Those plugs look like burnt oil to me... hard to tell in the photo, though could be "running rich" soot. a) is it loosing any oil (dipstick dropping)? (HAVEN'T NOTICED ANY DROP.) b) do ...

Re: EK Wagon project - Total rebuild
Car started running a little rough again, and the plugs are fouled up again. These were brand new plugs and I would have only done 100 klms or so since I put them in. Just local not highway. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn221/Finny_203/9B847E7B-1EAD-4795-9567-6C51D8F44749.jpg I started to wond...

Re: EK Wagon project - Total rebuild
Did the rear doors like stinky said and it worked. :D :D Finished the rear wheel arch covers and the rear seat is back in. Also tried several times to adjust the rear door alignment, and finally after hours got them where I wanted them. Still doing it without assistance, which makes it a lot harder....

Its a Special
Thinking of buying another "Special".
But it doesn't look like a can reuse too many of my spare parts.
A Special with lots of chrome.
Love the "Fins"
