It might be something to do with a weight formula on the car's maximum recognised weight.

EK's could weigh more if they had the hydromatic gearbox which wasn't available in the FB. :shock:

You are correct Sunny Tim - go to the top of the class. :lol: RTA was meant to be a generic term for a state motor registration authority. eg : Qld Tpt, RTA, DIER, MVR, Vic Roads, etc ... Obviously one would consult the state compliant engineer for the state in which they live. :shock: :shock:

It's all diferent from state to state and engineer to engineer. :roll: So the best bet is to get an RTA compliant engineer who will give you the advice you want, do what he says, get the state RTA compliant engineer's certification,and then get rego in your state. If its done properly then you can run up to 350 V8. you will need new brakes, chassis kit, collapsible steering and so on ...

Just need to comply with the engineers requirements. :shock: :shock:

yes, definately its a bit of everything. :shock: :shock:

EK rear doors stainless, grill, bonnet bar etc.

FB scuttle, front guard trim etc

It must be an FB judging by the rusted sills. :P :P
