Re: It’s taken near on 40 years …..
HMMM, $390 for the pair would be OK if they are in good nick, I have gotten hold of a passenger side one but wasn’t aware they were different between the two models? Will post a pic of it next time I am in the shed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I’ll message you some pics of the difference tomo...

Re: It’s taken near on 40 years …..
Blacky, Not sure if you have you sourced quarter windows yet but for reference FX and FJ are different. FX are more pointy down the bottom corner. Let me know if you need a photo or two for reference. Not sure it matters that much but I’m pretty sure the rubbers are different. They can be a bit hard...

Re: Ol' Rusty - FB/EK Sedan
Decided as the access was there, to have a go at a bit of panel beating to see if I could improve the fit of the new lower quarter. So youtube videos watched, scant knowledge gained, and off I went with my new shrinking disk, slapping file, sanding block and permanent marker. Great work seeing your...

Re: Parts pick up - Nuriootpa to Toowoomba
Thanks Tim. I’ll try and get some more definitive info out of the bloke. It’s just the canvas canopy. I already have bow hoops. The canopy size is the same as the FX/J bed (at a rough guess without wandering over to the shed - 1.4m x 1.8m) with each side, front and rear about 900mm. Just not sure ho...

Re: FB Standard Wagon
Drew, I’m not too familiar with milling machines so forgive the question. How do you true I up so you’re taking an even amount off across the piston? The amounts you’re talking are minuscule. And how do you take off, say 3 thou? Do you just dial it up? Cheers; Andrew Gday Fex, thanks for the questi...

Thanks Clay, hoping so. Might depend whether they stop in and fill up with bits and pieces at Dudley’s.

Re: Project 2.
Martin Dean Qld made the tank. How long ago did Marty make that one? I've had one of his tanks for about 10 years, and really happy with it. I gave his details to one of the FE/FC guys a few months back, though he reported that Marty was no longer making tanks. Not sure if that was just FE/FC tanks...

Parts pick up - Nuriootpa to Toowoomba
Hi all Just checking to see if anyone from Qld going to the Nationals can bring a canvas canopy back for me? It’s not quite in Nuriootpa but about 8km away in Stockwell. The canopy is supposedly an original FX-FJ Army Ute canopy which will suit my original paint FX army Ute nicely. I haven’t seen ph...

Re: Harv's meth monster project
Virgin crank, crack tested and machined for the Eagle rods. Chamfered on the big-end lands to reduce the stress riser. Crank girdle. Ross balancer. If it cracks (and it might) it shouldn’t destroy the pricey top-end. Have one spare crank, six others that were either cracked or too far over to suit ...

Re: Red EK Seat Material
Thanks Blacky, Andrew you have done well to track down Rob's old stock it certainly didn't go to the dump then [emoji6] Is it $150 per metre for 5 metres? When you weigh it up itthen needs to be press welded they become very expensive seat inserts. Glad you scored then other material. Tim Sent from...

Red EK Seat Material
I caught up with a motor trimmer late last week. He has a bunch of old vinyl from a retired upholsterer. I got a small piece of some original FJ commercial material and a roll of brown material that will be close enough for my FJ army Ute. There was also a roll of what I think is red EK seat materia...
