Re: Ol' Rusty - FB/EK Sedan

Looking good Scott. I like that line too. NOS panels seem to come with NO- rust in my limited experience. I had a lot of trouble with vein-like rust in a NOS bonnet that I used on sedan. It was very difficult to get rid of. NOS- these days its referred as Nasty Old Shit by us resto heads, when a cu...

Re: Project 2.

That's what I was told too Greg. I have the double springs and ideally would take helpers out to reduce the pressire a bit. But probably wont🥴 Edit: Ok- I will definitely take out helper springs. Gives me a chance to better pre lubricate lifters etc. as well. the other issue here is the poor qualit...

Re: Harv's FED thread

phil soderstrom is the man you need to speak to about what you want to do with a front end dragster with a grey. from memory phil campaigned a FED with a grey in the 60's then went to a red and then a few different combinations, the guy is very very highly and well regarded in the racing scene with ...

Re: Does anyone rebuild FBEK steering boxes?

I’m still waiting patiently Blacky. Rang them a couple times and they generally said delivery was imminent etc. I will try again on Tuesday now you’ve reminded me. Spoke to Roger a few weeks ago too as I’m waiting for my all synchro column conversion. He is slowing down and he gives priority to eBa...

Re: Does anyone rebuild FBEK steering boxes?

roger is still doing the boxes, a good friend of both roger and i re-rivets the outer shaft to the box housing which seems to always have play and be worn, out of 10 you are only able to save about 6-7 now as they are too flogged out and you just cant fix them and even the repairable ones require a ...

Re: FB Standard Wagon

Re FIREWALL KIT. I saw that after buying a kit from them before and wanting another one. The 'price' is to keep the listing going while they wait for boards to come from the USA suppliers. Normal price was $90 plus post and I was very happy with mine, and shipped very safely too. Kick panels are al...

Re: FB Standard Wagon

So had a couple of hours spare this morning so I fitted the pedal box assembly. Damn that spring is a MTHRFKR. No wonder you guys said to do it on the bench, would have been near impossible in the car. Next up is the handbrake assembly but to do that I need to fit the firewall insulation so I pulled...
