Re: Project 2.

Well for this week anyway Neil🙂. You know how it is, there is always something to do! I'm trialling electric choke at the moment. I like the idea of having it automated, but the control freak in me says "why are you not doing this choking yourself?" We'll see.

Re: Project 2.

Cheers Clay. It's nice to annoy the street in style🙂.
It's not Harv's waggon, but it certainly blats very nicely now!

Re: Project 2.

Holley is now sorted. Swapped 7.5 power valve to 6.5, swapped 0.60 main jets to 0.63. Going like the clappers- finally.

Re: Project 2.

Yes it's only a matter of jets and power valves and a few other minor fiddles. I like the feel of it already though.

Re: Project 2.

I'm not sure Clay. I ended up with 4 of them. The one I put some effort into and used had a manual choke. Definitely your manifold though. Having troubles now with the 350 being too lean on the road. Consulting Harv.

Re: Project 2.

Tripples are sold and heading to an LC XU1 in Sydney I believe. Still have the LJ XU1 manifold and CD175s but they need a lot of work. The WW has proven to be a great carburetor and with very little tinkering has worked very well. Now it's Holley's turn. First try out of the box and motor was awash ...

Re: Tow bar for EK sedan please

I had a FB plenum grill posted to me once. Towbar is shorter than that. Also had FB rear quarter and front guard trims come in the post. Maybe it depends on the post office. Good luck with it anyway.

Yes, I have also found that you have to put the headers on first and then attach the pipes to ensure the headers to sit properly against the head.

Re: Project 2.

Yes Vintage Air has a thermostat controller. The other one looks just to be on/ off so may be a better bet. I suspect you can run the VA unit without the fancy stuff as an on/off but probably better buying the cheaper one if you go that way. Either way there are a few options out there on the web fo...

Re: Project 2.

Great, thanks for that info Harv. I was thinking last night that I might silver solder a made up original diameter fuel line onto the supplied fitting as it slides neatly inside - just need to adjust the bends a bit. I'm keen to crank it up and test today and I've got new fuel pipe left over from th...

Re: Project 2.

Thanks Harv. Will that banjo fitting just seal up against the carb body ( and not use the flared fitting inside)? I was wondering about the fuel line size, but figured it all flows through the needle and seat so probably not a problem with the original line size. Hopefuly it's not sooo thirsty that ...
